It’s getting warmer outside which means that Farmers Market season is coming. We’ve covered a bunch of our favorite markets over the last two years but we’re excited to announce a new market coming to the Southtowns. Our pals Adam Kern from My Buffalo Shirt/1801 handcrafted and John Griveas from Fetch Gourmet Dog Treats have created the Orchard Park Farmer’s & Artisan Market. Their goal is to create a premier market for Orchard Park and the greater Southtowns area.
Starting on May 26th, the market will operate every Thursday evening, from 3pm to 7pm, in the parking lot of Orchard Fresh in Orchard Park for 20 weeks (Oct 6th). There will be 16-20 different vendors on hand, a combination of local farms and local artisan’s (the exact vendors will be announced in late April). The farms will be required to grow and sell their own produce and the products from the local artisans must be locally made/produced. Additionally, there will be two food trucks on site every week. Lloyd Taco Trucks will be serving their popular tacos every single week while the second truck will rotate every week for the full market. There will be tables and chairs provided from the organizers for folks who want to sit down and eat. Additionally, people visiting the market will be able to use the bathrooms inside Orchard Fresh.
If you’re a local farm or vendor (craft or food) and our interested in joining the market, you can get an application through either Adam (email@example.com) or John (firstname.lastname@example.org). They are taking applications until 4/8/16, so get yours in now!
