Mighty Taco gets love on Taco Maven

So I just happened to come across this Taco blog called Taco Maven (yes, a blog devoted to Tacos) that’s based in Los Angeles and saw they were talking about Buffalo’s own Mighty Taco.  Since Mighty announced they were going to start shipping frozen Tacos nationwide, I was really skeptical about good they’d actually be.  But on Taco Talk Episode #15 (their video cast) they tried out some burritos that were delivered and really enjoyed them (they were “orgasmically good”).  For someone who loves Mighty Taco it means a lot that someone without a WNY bias actually enjoyed the Tacos (not to mention someone from in LA, which is known for amazing Tacos).  Check out the video for their opinions of the infamous Mighty Taco ads, the hosts talking to their sound board operator/co-producer who is from Tonawanda and listen to their interview with Mighty Taco’s Head of Marketing.

Also if you haven’t watched the YouTube video of the Mighty Taco song “Hold The Lettuce”, check it out…

Dear blog writer I am enjoying about half the time,

You’ve been writing about food in Buffalo for a while. I read you, others do too–we need writing on food in Buffalo and I am digging it.

    But, friend….

Tacos never has an apostrophe. Unless it possesses something like hot sauce (I myself prefer medium.) You have both tacos and taco’s in this piece, and while I enjoyed it, I would enjoy your blog so much more if you could get the punctuation right. You already do exactly half the time! ;) Make the effort to pay a little more attention, and I will subscribe to your feed for life.

    CHeers!

      Celia,

I’ll be the first to say that my English writing skills are definitely lacking. But thank you for the advice and I’ll try to make an effort to pay attention in future posts. Also I normally have my editor/fiance Alli look over the posts before I hit publish. This time I thought I could pull it off solo and I failed. But thanks a bunch.

  2. That’s awesome. I still don’t understand how they are shipping so far, though!
