For our 5th Anniversary (December 4th, 2008), Alli and I decided to go to The Melting Pot for a celebratory dinner.  The following pictures and descriptions will show the ridiculous amount and quality of food that we ate.

We decided to go for all 3 courses, start with a cheese fondue then salad, then go for the oil and meats and finish it up with a lovely chocolate fondue.  The cheese that we began our meal with was their seasonal special, it was the Boston Lager Cheddar Cheese Fondue:

Aged cheddar cheeses blended with Samuel Adams Boston lager, Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce and chopped chives

which was accompanied by various breads, apples and vegetables.  We each then had our choices of salads for our meal, I went with the California Salad:

It was pretty tasty, although I wasn’t a big fan fo the Gorgonzola cheese, but the vinaigrette was amazing.  Afterwards the real shit started, the meat.  They had different seasonings for the cooking oil (we chose the Mojo Style) and different groups of meat.  We went with :

Fillet Mignon, shrimp, teriyaki-marinated sirloin, boneless breast of chicken and fish fillet (with turned out to be Salmon)  and our Mojo Style was : Caribbean-seasoned bouillon with distinctive flavors of fresh garlic with a citrus flair!

As if all of that food wasn’t enough, we finished it with some chocolate fondue, we went with a house specialty.  One of those items that “aren’t on the menu”, our waitress called it the “Snickers” fondue.  The fondue part was made of:

Milk Chocolate, Bailey’s Irish Creme, Crunchy Peanut Butter and Caramel – amazing.

Overall the meal was amazing, and very filling.  I still think that half of the pants I own do not fit me.  Great place, check out their menu here.  And try it out sometime, even for just the chocolate fondue.  Info:
